BOOST Your Vacation Rental on Social Media
Struggling to Plan Social Media for Your Vacation Rental Business? Watch This.
If posting to social media feels last-minute, stressful, or totally ineffective, this video is for you. I’m joined by our social media manager to walk you through a simple, repeatable system for planning a full month of posts that actually work.
This is a look at how we plan social media for real vacation rental brands. Whether you're managing one property or 100, you’ll walk away with a strategy you can use right now.
Let’s learn how to PACE.
In this video, Jacob Hall sat down with Ankerpoint Marketing, Social Media director, Jesse Hall, to discuss how to enhance your social media page. They discussed how to take your page from drab and sporadic to organized, coherent, and professional. The four key takeaways you should jot down are below.
PACE - Plan Before You Post
Having a dynamic plan for your page is invaluable when starting the month. Knowing what you’ll post and when will transform the way you do social media. This will give you the chance to follow a campaign and assess both your goals and the goals of your client.
If you’re managing someone else’s page then you both have ideas about how you want the page to go. Ultimately you both want success but do your goals align? Take the opportunity to assess what they want both long-term and short-term and make some suggestions. It’s always best to be on the same page. In turn, this will build trust in the long run.
PACE - Add Value
Creating every post to provide high quality information and adding to the conversation surrounding the chosen topic is vital. When your audience reaches your page you want to capture their attention and keep them engaged, not turn them away within seconds.
When it comes to the vacation rental space, post about things like local attractions or the best kinds of food in the area. Give your audience bulleted lists and ‘how to guides’ to help them during their stay. Increase the value of your page to build a good reputation and a space worth coming back to.
PACE - Call To Action
A call to action (or CTA for short), is one of the most valuable tools you can use when writing and designing your posts. You’ve already planned everything out and created valuable content, now you need to tell your audience what to do next.
When posting about a cabin listing your post might be a cute picture of a gorgeous view with the words Don’t you wish you were here? over the image. To create a CTA the caption can say something like, “Book your stay today!” Telling your audience what to do next is an important step that you shouldn’t miss.
PACE - Elevate The Atmosphere
Lastly, elevate the atmosphere of your page. When you create the page you’re communicating the feel of your product.
For instance, if your page is called ‘Cabins in the Smokies’ it needs to reflect the atmosphere of your cabins. This will give your audience a sense of what it would be like to stay in one of your rentals. Ask yourself the question, what does it feel like to stay here? Then turn that into the design and content of your page. This will help elevate your page and leave your visitors with a sense of what their vacation could look like.
